Applicants for this rating must hold a Private or Commercial pilot license
with a valid medical certificate. Given this is an additional rating to
an existing pilot license, FAR 61.63(c) states that applicants do not need
to meet specified training time requirements unless the pilot is seeking
to include this rating in combination with a higher grade of license, i.e.
training to become a Commercial pilot with a multi-engine rating.
If studying full time, you should anticipate completing the course in 5
to 7 days. This course is based on VFR multi-engine training. To add IFR
privileges an additional 2 to 3 hours training may be required.
